We are sorry to report
that an elm tree on the city boulevard near your home is diseased
and must be removed.
This removal will be accomplished within the next two weeks.
While we all hate to lose a tree, there is a very important
reason for its prompt removal. Diseased elms are a breeding site
of elm bark beetles which help spread the disease to healthy
trees. Prompt removal of diseased trees is the only way to slow
tha spread of dutch elm disease.
Following removal, the stump will be chipped and black dirt
filled in. Whenever possible a new tree will be planted the
following year to provide shade and beauty to your neighborhood.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact the city
forester at 644 -5050.
Sincerely,
City of Falcon Heights
HOME OF THE MINNESOTA STATE FAIR AND THE U OF M INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE
PRINTED ON RECYCLED PAPER
TREE CITY USA IL a
