It is planned to be a buffet -style dinner to be held in <br /> the city council chambers. Invited guests would include councilmembers, staff, city <br /> commissioners, RSVP senior volunteers, and members of the volunteer fire /rescue <br /> department. The cost is not expected to exceed a total of $800.00 (there is a <br /> "community events" budget line that can accommodate this expense). <br /> Minnesota Volunteer Recognition Week is April 23 29. It would seem appropriate <br /> to schedule the dinner during that week, if possible. The dates that the council <br /> chambers are available that week include: <br /> Sunday, April 23 <br /> Tuesday, April 25 <br /> Thursday, April 26 <br /> Friday, April 27 <br /> Saturday, April 29 <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Authorize staff to proceed with plans for a Volunteer Recognition Dinner <br /> at a cost not to exceed $800.00, to be taken from the <br /> Communications /Community Events budget. <br /> Determine appropriate event date. <br />
