~/~ <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 24, 1993 <br />Baldwin convened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br />ALL MEMBERS PRESENT <br />Baldwin, Ciernia, Gehrz, Gibson Talbot and Jacobs. Also present <br />were Chenoweth and Hoyt. <br />MINUTES OF 11/10/93 APPROVED <br />Council approved the Minutes of November 10, 1993 by unanimous <br />consent. <br />ADDENDUM TO AGENDA <br />Council approved the addition of Item P-6, Outline for Community <br />Meetings on the Future Needs of Policing, to the Policy Agenda. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Council approved the following Consent Agenda by unanimous consent: <br />1. Disbursements <br /> a. General Disbursements through 11/17/93, $128,932.79 <br /> b. Payroll, 11/01/93 to 11/15/93, $12,534. 63 <br />2. Hiring of Greg Hoag as Ice Rink Maintenance Supervisor <br /> for the 1993-94 season <br />3. Purchase of carpet for city hall meeting areas from <br /> Jerry's Floor Store at a cost of $4,329.35 <br />4. Planning Commission appointments: <br /> a . Reappointment of Lee Barry to a one year term ending <br /> 12/31/94 <br /> b. Appointment of Wendy Treadwell to a three year term <br /> ending 12/31/96 <br />5. Appointment of Rachelle Marvin Amoabeng to Fire/Rescue <br /> Department <br />6. Cancellation of 12/22/93 council meeting <br />ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE 0-93-09 AMENDING CH. 9-14.01 OF THE ZONING <br />CODE (HOME OCCUPATIONS) <br />Hoyt presented the proposed ordinance and explained that the <br />purpose is to clarify the home occupation section of the code to <br />accommodate home businesses while ensuring that the business does <br />not change the residential character of the neighborhood. Council <br />thoroughly discussed the proposed changes to Subdivision 24(d)12 <br />relating to number of vehicle trips per day, after which Ciernia <br />moved adoption of the ordinance as recommended by the Planning <br />Commission with the following exceptions: 1) increasing the number <br />of vehicles per day from eight additional vehicles to eighteen two <br />way trips and deletion of the last sentence in the section. Gibson <br />Talbot offered a friendly amendment increasing the trips to <br />
