MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 14, 2005 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 14th day of <br />April, 2005 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Vice Chair Tom Duray called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />Mr. Gary Rheaume <br />Mr. Tom Wojcik <br />Ms. Kathy Weihe <br />Ms. Katie Socha <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Mr. Brandon Rickert, Cable TV <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />MINUTES The February 10, 2005 Planning Commission minutes were approved as <br />submitted. <br />CUP rOR Mr. Carl Nelson, 762 LaBore Road, appeared before the Commission <br />GARAGE - requesting a Conditional Use Permit to allow two garages (one <br />7G2 LABORE attached and one detached) on their property as well as allow total <br />ROAD - garage space over 1,000 square feet. Nelson reported that there are <br />NELSON currently two garages on the property, one of which will be replaced with <br /> the new garage. The garage that is being replaced is in tough shape and <br /> Che electrical system is unsafe. The garage will be used for the storage of <br /> vehicles and garden equipment. The new garage will be in the same <br /> location as the current garage. Nelson reported that his property is almost <br /> 2 acres in size. The new garage will be approximately 300 feet from the <br /> house and 130 feet from LaBore Road. <br />The City Planner noted that the Code requires a special review for a <br />garage proposed to be located closer to the street than the house. In this <br />case, the property is quite large and the garage will be approximately 130 <br />feet from the road. <br />
