MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MAY 12, 2005 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 12th day of <br />May, 2005 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair Dan Knudsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Gary Rheaume <br />Mr. Tom Wojcik <br />Ms. Katie Socha <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Ms. Kathy Weihe <br />Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Mr. Brandon Rickert, Cable TV <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />MINUTES The April 14, 2005 Planning Commission minutes were approved as <br />submitted. <br />ARCHITECTURALTony DuBay, Edgewater Town Office Association, appeared before <br />REVIEW & the Commission requesting Architectural Review and Final PUD <br />FINAL PUD Permit approval to add a freestanding sign to the town office property. <br />PERMIT - DuBay indicated Chat the developer of the town offices had planned <br />EDGEWATER to install a monument sign for the project, but never did. Therefore, <br />TOWN OFFICES the town office association is now presenting this request. <br />Knudsen asked if Mr. DuBay had reviewed the Planner's report. DuBay <br />replied that he had, and had misunderstood earlier conversations with the <br />Planner. DuBay indicated that he thought that a pylon sign was the <br />preferred option. DuBay presented the Commission with a revised sign <br />plan, changing the pylon to a monument sign. DuBay described the <br />location proposed for the sign indicating that it meets the five-foot setback <br />requirement. DuBay also indicated that he contacted the Watershed <br />District, and they have no issues with the sign as proposed. <br />
