MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING PLANNING COMMISSION LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA MAY 12, 2005 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 12th day of May, 2005 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Chair Dan Knudsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: PLANNING COMMISSION: Mr. Dan Knudsen Mr. Tom Duray Mr. Scott Barraclough Mr. Gary Rheaume Mr. Tom Wojcik Ms. Katie Socha ABSENT: ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Kathy Weihe Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner Mr. Brandon Rickert, Cable TV Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk MINUTES The April 14, 2005 Planning Commission minutes were approved as submitted. ARCHITECTURALTony DuBay, Edgewater Town Office Association, appeared before REVIEW & the Commission requesting Architectural Review and Final PUD FINAL PUD Permit approval to add a freestanding sign to the town office property. PERMIT - DuBay indicated Chat the developer of the town offices had planned EDGEWATER to install a monument sign for the project, but never did. Therefore, TOWN OFFICES the town office association is now presenting this request. Knudsen asked if Mr. DuBay had reviewed the Planner's report. DuBay replied that he had, and had misunderstood earlier conversations with the Planner. DuBay indicated that he thought that a pylon sign was the preferred option. DuBay presented the Commission with a revised sign plan, changing the pylon to a monument sign. DuBay described the location proposed for the sign indicating that it meets the five-foot setback requirement. DuBay also indicated that he contacted the Watershed District, and they have no issues with the sign as proposed.
