MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
JUNE 16, 2005
that the Center would be a welcomed asset to the community. Socha
agreed.
Barraclough asked why the Center requires a PUD Permit. The City
Planner pointed ouC that the use proposed is anon-traditional office use in
a project that was intended to be office. The Planner noted that office use
was used in calculating parking requirements for the town office
development. Therefore, a review of the use proposed by the Women's
Life Care Center was required to ensure that their parking demand would
noC be inconsistent with the town office development.
Duray agreed that parking is a concern at the town office developments in
the City, but felt that the Center's use would be consistent with what the
City is looking for.
Socha asked if the Center was expanding. Gorman reported that they
currently occupy about 900 square feet; therefore, the town office would
provide more space. Gorman indicated that the Center looked at several
locations and liked what the City is doing in the area and looks forward to
being located in Little Canada.
Wojcik recommended approval of the PUD Permit to allow the operation
of a social service organization at the Market Square Town Offices at
2870 Middle Street for Women's Life Care Center as requested.
Motion seconded by Rheaume.
Motion carried 5 - 0.
ADJOURN Wojcik recommended that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Rheaume.
Motion carried 5 - 0.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:52 p.m.
Respec>fully submitt -
Kathy Glan~ ~~~
City Clerk
-3-
