MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />SEPTEMBER 15, 2005 <br />Novak asked the time frame for elimination of the shed. The City Planner <br />suggested that Novak be allowed to construct the new garage and move <br />into it before the shed would be required to come down. <br />Hall asked about Che trailer storage on the property. Novak indicated thaC <br />his intention would be Co eliminate one of the trailers once the new garage <br />is constructed. The City Planner indicated that if trailers are parked in the <br />rear yard of a property, Chey are allowed to be there. He indicated that the <br />City does not monitor what is being stored inside trailers. <br />Hall asked the size of the trailers. Novak reported that they are <br />approximately 7 feet by 12 feet. <br />Duray asked about the materials that would be used for the new garage. <br />Novak replied that he will match the existing house. <br />Barraclough pointed out that Novak is requesting a total of 1,172 square <br />feet of garage space. He suggested that given the need to eliminate the <br />shed, and given the use of trailers for storage, that Che proposed garage be <br />enlarged. <br />Novak stated that he would like to increase the proposed garage size from <br />22' by 26' to 24' by 28' feet, which is an additional 100 square feet. <br />Novak stated that he had not planned to take down the shed. The <br />additional 100 square feet would address the storage space lost for the <br />shed. Novak stated that he did not want to make the new garage any <br />larger than 24' by 28'. <br />Duray recommended approval of a Conditional Use Permit allowing a <br />second garage on a property as well as total garage space over 1,000 <br />square feet in size for 2875 Centerville Road as requested by Ed Novak <br />subject to compliance with the recommendations of the City Planner, <br />subject that there is no business use of the property, and subject to removal <br />of the storage shed by June 1, 2006. <br />Motion seconded by Rheaume. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />ADJOURN Rheaume moved that the meeting be adjourned. <br />Motion seconded by Duray. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />-2- <br />
