'1"he Administrator
indicated that the property is currently being used for the storage of
construction equipment, and materials and McGough has a valid
Conditional Use Permit for this use. The Administrator reported that he
has discussed the City's interest in the property with the owners, and they
have indicated a willingness to work with the City provided that the City
assists in locating another site for them, They feel it is highly unlikely that
they could locate a site in a neighboring community that would
accommodate their use and meet coning criteria.
'T'he Adminisu ator felt that a location in Ryan h~dush'ial Park may be a
better fit for this use, and proposed that he contact Lee Rossow who owns
several propeiCies in Ryan Industrial Park to see if he would be willing to
sell one. 'T'he Administrator noted that outdoor storage is allowed by
Conditional Use Permit in the I-1 Coning District without a principle
building.
The Administrator noted that the City could utilize eminent domain to
acgi~iire the site, but it is likely that McGough would contest that action.
