MTNUTI;S <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCh1 23, 2005 <br />The Administrator suggested that some other possible locations include <br />the Valor property and the Orius property. The Administrator noted that <br />he has looked at the Orius building as a possible public works garage site, <br />but he was not sure that the building would work for that purpose. He also <br />noted that the McGough property bas better soils than those in Ryan <br />Industrial Park, therefore, would be preferable from a development <br />standpoint. <br />I<eis asked aboutjustifying the relocation of outdoor storage to Ryan <br />Industrial Park when the City has been working hard to minimize that use. <br />The City Administrator noted that the City has allowed outdoor storage in <br />the park Ile noted that the McGough outdoor storage use already exists <br />and it would be preferable to have that use on a site that has a principle <br />building. <br />"Che Council agreed that the next step would be to contact Lee Rossow to <br />determine his willingness to sell property in Ryan Industrial park. <br />RIs-USl?. OR Rick Ruzicka, Animal Control Services, Inc., informed the Council of <br />E?~TS'I"ING his interest in purchasing the existing Public Works garage site to <br />PUBLIC relocate his animal control business to that location. Ruzicka repotted <br />WORKS that he is ctu rently located in a building owned by White Bear Township. <br />GA~,RAGIā€¢; The Township is adding on to their public works garage and are <br />BY ASCI considering removal of his current building to relocate some of that <br /> operation. Ruzicka indicated that White Bear Township is willing to work <br /> with him to provide space for the animal control operation; however, he <br /> would like to own his own building. Ruzicka indicated that he had <br /> approximately one more year in his current location. <br />Ruzicka presented some diagrams showing how he would remodel Little <br />Canada's existing Public Works garage to fit his needs. 'Ruzicka indicated <br />that he has not obtained price estimates for his proposal. Ruzicka <br />reviewed his current operation and his plans to expand to include upscale <br />animal boarding and day care services. <br />Allan asked about signage for the business. Ruzicka indicated that he has <br />not gotten that far into the planning process. <br />Montour noted that the property is currently zoned as Public, therefore, <br />Ruzicka's proposal would require a rezoning. Montour asked if a <br />rezoning to accommodate Animal Control would be consistent with the <br />other uses in the area. <br />
