MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 27, 2005 <br />421 ELI ROAD the deadline for compliance be extended until May 16`h. He has been <br />working with the City's electrical inspector to ensure that code <br />requirements are met. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-4-I00 -GRANTING JIM COSSACK AN <br />EXTENSION UNTIL MAY l6, 2005 FOR CODE COMPLIANCE AT <br />421 ELI ROAD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Allan, Keis, LaValle, Montour. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />THE VILLAGE - The City Administrator presented resolutions authorizing Contamination <br />CONTAM- Cleanup and Tax Base Revitalization Grant Applications relative to The <br />INATION Village at Little Canada project. Estimated cleanup costs of the <br />CLEAN UP contamination is $380,000. If the cleanup grant is approved, it will help <br />GRANT the developer defray some of these costs and tnay free up some of the <br />APPLICATIONS funds that the Guerin Family escrowed for cleanup costs. The <br />Administrator pointed out there is also a new program available from <br />Ramsey County for the same purpose. That program is being applied for <br />by the developer. There are no guarantees that the grants will be <br />approved, however. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO.2005-4-101-APPROVING THE <br />CONTAMINATION CLEANUP AND TAX BASE REVITALIZATION <br />GRANT APPLICATIONS AS WELL AS COMMITTING LOCAL <br />MATCH AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE <br />DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Keis, Montour, Blesener, Allan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Administrator indicated that the grant applications are due May ls` <br />and the City should know by early June whether or not the grants are <br />approved. Once the status of the grants is known, the City Administrator <br />anticipated that construction on the first office building would begin. <br />
