MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 10, 2005 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Allan, Keis, LaValle. <br />Nays (1) Montour. Resolution declared adopted. <br />Blesener indicated that it would be up to the Parks & Recreation <br />Commission to modify the Park Master Plan. <br />ACTION In reviewing action plans for 2005 Goals, the City Administrator <br />PLANS - recommended that a workshop meeting be scheduled for Wednesday, <br /> May 25, 2005 to review the multi-family license fee report. The <br />MULTI- Administrator indicated that the report would include information <br />FAMILY relative to what other cities are doing in this regard as well as a model <br />LICENSING ordinance. <br />There was some discussion about the timin~ of the workshop, but the <br />consensus was to proceed with the May 25` date. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0.2005-5-I08 - CALLING A WORKSHOP FOR <br />WEDNESDAY, MAY 25, 2005, AT 6:00 P.M. TO REVIEW THE ISSUE <br />OF IMPLEMENTING AMULTI-FAMILY LICENSING FEE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5) Montour, Allan, LaValle, Blesener, Keis. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />LAND USE The City Administrator presented a redrafted action plan for the "Upgrade <br />PLANS & Land Use Plans & Ordinances" goal which acknowledges the fact that <br />ORDINANCES the Metropolitan Council will be mandating updates Co the Comprehensive <br />Plan for 2008. In redrafting the action plan, the Administrator is <br />recommending the City proceed with zoning revisions, subdivision and <br />environmental regulations, and updating the Parks Master Plan, while <br />delaying Comprehensive Plan Updates until mandated by Met Council and <br />specific updating requirements are known. <br />Keis asked if the 2008 date was that date that the Comp Plan Update <br />would need to be completed. The Administrator estimated that update <br />requirements would be known by 2007, with the work to be done and <br />adoption of the updated Plan occurring in the 2008 to 2010 timefi~ame. <br />Keis asked if the May 31s~ deadline for draft proposals for work <br />components would be too aggressive.
