MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 22, 2005
The City Planner indicated that the Final Plats meet the requirements of
Preliminary Plat approval. He noted the City Engineer's comment in his
letter dated June 6, 2005 relative to drainage and utility easements.
There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by Montour, seconded by Allan, the public hearing was
closed.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2005-6-733 -APPROVING THE FINAL PLATS
FOR "VILLAS AT LITTLE CANADA SECOND"AND "VILLAS AT
LITTLE CANADA THIRD" SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH
THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY ENGINEER
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Montour, Allan, Blesener, Keis.
Nays (0). The
Council then revised Che matter at its May 25`h meeting and discussed
tightening the outdoor storage standards. Given that the full Council was
not present, the matter was tabled until tonight. Blesener further noted
that at a joint workshop of the Planning Commission and the Council held
on May 11`h, there was discussion about the elimination of outdoor storage
in the I-P District entirely. Based on that discussion, the Planning
Commission again reviewed the issue at their June 9`h meeting and
recommended that outdoor storage be eliminated in the I-P District.
Blesener noted that if outdoor storage were eliminated from the I-P
District, existing CUP's for outdoor storage would be grandfathered in.
No new requests for outdoor storage would be allowed, and if a use
changed on the property, the existing CUP would become invalid.
Blesener noted that two of the four surrounding cities do noC allow outdoor
