MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 10, 2005 <br />The Administrator reported that clean-up of the site has noC yeC begun as <br />Frattalone Companies is waiting for County approval for landfill <br />placement of the hazardous materials that will be removed from the site. <br />The clean-up work will begin as soon as approval is received. <br />Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO.2005-8-I81-APPROVING THE SUB-GRANT <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA ND <br />THE VILLAGE AT LITTLE CANADA LLC (SHERMAN <br />ASSOCIATES) SUBJECT TO FINAL APPROVAL OF THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (3). <br />Nays (0). Reso]ution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that he received a call from the MN <br />Department of Trade and Economic Development relative to the <br />utilization of DEED Grant Funds for clean-up before the use of Guerin <br />Family escrow funds. The State has indicated that the Guerin escrow <br />funds would have to be used toward clean up costs prior to the grant <br />dollars as outlined in the grant documents. According to the State, <br />anything beyond that would be a local matter. <br />The Administrator indicated that the attorney representing the Guerin <br />Family will likely pw•sue Chis issue with the State. <br />CATERING Blesener noted the request of The Little Venetian relative to the sale of <br />PERMIT & on-sale liquor as part of their catering business. Blesener directed staff <br />ON-SALE to research this matter and report at the next Council meeting. <br />LIQUOR <br />LICENSE <br />ADJOURN LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-8-182 -ADJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (3). <br />Nays (0).
