MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 26, 2005 <br />The City Administrator reported that he is finalizing the specific details of <br />the abatement program with Ehlers & Associates. Consideration is being <br />given to a 11 year program that would start in 2006 and would generate <br />approximately $100,000 in income. The first year (2006) would not yield <br />any collections in order to allow the full value of the new houses to <br />become part of the tax base. <br />Mr. Blesener inh~oduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-IO-256 - CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING <br />ON THE TAX ABATEMENT FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA FOR WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 26, <br />2005 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2005 The City Administrator reviewed his report dated October 21, 2005 <br />SHERIFF'S indicating that at the goal setting session held by the Sheriff's Department <br />DEPARTMENT Contract Group one of the goals was to conduct a formal annual review of <br />REVIEW the department. The Administrator suggested that the City Council <br />provide into in the review process and noted the review form in the agenda <br />packets. <br />It was the consensus of the Council that a subcommittee of the Council <br />would complete a review form. Mayor Blesener and Council Member <br />LaValle were appointed to thaC subcommittee. <br />ADDITIONAL The Administrator reviewed his report relative to the installation of <br />EVP DEVICES additional Emergency Vehicle Preemption (EVP) Devices as requested by <br />the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department, noting that they have prioritized <br />the need into three tiers. Those are: <br />Tier I <br />Rice Street & No. Owasso Blvd. (Shoreview & Vadnais Hgts.) <br />Tier II <br />Little Canada Road & 35E West Ramp (Southbound) <br />Little Canada Road & 35E East Ramp (Northbound) <br />Tier III <br />Little Canada Road & Centerville Road (Southbound) <br />
