MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBEI216, 2005
The group discussed a question about the continuation of the City's
"Goose Round Up" to determine whether or not this program has strong
support.
The consensus was to eliminate the "Clean Up Day" category since a
decision has been made on this matter as part of the 2006 Budget process.
The group discussed "Environmental Issues" with the consensus that
questions should be drafted to determine whether or not the City is doing
enough relative to the protection of wetlands, water quality, and open
space. If the City is not doing enough, then residents should be asked why
they feel that way.
Leatherman asked if there were any additional topics the group wanted
added or additional questions eliminated beyond those listed in the
minutes. Leatherman suggested that questions #9 and #10 could be
eliminated. Leatherman reported that he go through the survey and
highlight any other questions he felt could be eliminated and include that
information in the draft questionnaire that will be submitted for review.
There was discussion about the January timing for surveying given that
some people go south for Che winter. Leatherman felt that if a low
percentage of the random sample are out of town for the winter, that
would not impact survey results.
There being no further business, the workshop was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
/ , ~ ~ „?
William Mayor
__
Attes ."~ K, _._ _....._____.~
~Jo Hanson, City Administrator
4
