MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 23, 2005
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO.2005-11-281 -APPROVING THE ADDITIONAL
COMPENSATION OF $1,95.00 TO PETERSON COMPANIES FOR
PIONEER PARK WARNING TRACK INSTALLATION AS
RECOMMENDED BY THE PARKS & RECREATION DIRECTOR
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (4).
Nays (1) Montour. Resolution declared adopted.
PURCHASE The City Administrator reported that the City has received two purchase
AGREEMENTS agreements for its County Road B property, both for the asking price of
FOR COUNTY $385,000. The Administrator reported that staff will do an initial review
ROAD B of these offers and provide a summary to the Council at its next meeting of
PROPERTY of the pros and cons of each.
Blesener indicated that given the offer is the same for both, an important
issue would be whether or not the proposed development would meet
existing code. Blesener noted that it appears one proposal would include
outdoor storage.
Keis asked if one proposal would provide the City with more tax base than
the other. The City Administrator noted that the tax base would be based
on the value of each project, and he was not sure that the difference would
be between the two.
The City Administrator noted that outdoor storage is not allowed in the
Business-Warehouse (B-W) District. The Administrator asked about
presenting a proposal that did not comply with the B-W District
requirements. Blesener suggested that staff review the proposals and
present its report to the Council.
OUTGOING Blesener thanked outgoing Parks 8z Recreation Commissioners Jim Broten
PARKS & and Craig Larson for their service to the City. He noted that Certificates
RECREATION of Appreciation would be presented to Broten and Larson for their service
COMMISSIONERS on the Parks & Recreation Commission as well as to Tom Wojcik for his
service on the Planning Commission in December.
ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2005-11-282 -ADJOURNING
13
