MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 23, 2005
Blesener thanked Tom Wojcik for his service on the Commission. He
noted that it is beneficial for the Commission to have change from time to
time in order to obtain different perspectives.
Allan noted that Clara Neis is also interested in the Parks & Recreation
Commission. The Administrator pointed out that there are two vacancies
on the Parks & Recreation Commission. Members Jim Broten and Craig
Larson did not apply for reappointment. Neis is the only applicanC that
submitted her letter of interest prior to the deadline. Again, the
Administrator indicated that based on her interview, Neis would be an
excellent member of the Commission.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2005-11-279 -RATIFYING THE APPOINTMENT
OF SCOTT BARRACLOUGH, KATIE SOCHA, AND MICHAEL
MCGRAW TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR THREE YEAR
TERMS COMMENCING JANUARY I, 2006
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2005-II-280 -APPOINTING CLARA NETS TO
THE PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION FOR A THREE YEAR
TERM COMMENCING JANUARY I, 2006 AND AUTHORIZING
CITY STAFF TO RE-ADVERTISE THE SECOND OPENING ON
THE COMMISSION
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
PIONEER PARK The City Administrator reviewed the Parks & Recreation Director's
WARNING report dated November 15, 2005 relative to additional compensation
TRACK of $1,695.00 to the contractor for the Pioneer Park warning track
INSTALLATION installation. The Administrator noted that the project was awarded last
year; however, due to weather delays, it could not be completed until this
year. The contractor has requested additional compensation of $2,188.27
to cover increased costs of fuel and hauling. The Director is
recommending the additional compensation of $1,695.00 given that this
would equal the low bid for other warning track work that was done this
year.
12
