MINUTES CITY COUNCIL NOVEMBER 23, 2005 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. TAX Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider a property tax abatement ABATEMENT- for certain properties in the City associated with the acquisition of public HIDDEN right-of-way. ACRES The City Administrator reviewed the details of the proposed tax abatement as outlined in his report dated November 18, 2005. The Administrator noted that as part of the Hidden Acres development, Nadeau Road was extended to Condit Street in response to the concerns of the existing neighborhood for traffic from the new development routing through their neighborhood. This traffic mitigation effort necessitated the acquisition of additional right-of-way for Nadeau Road as well as along Condit Street. The Administrator pointed out Chat Che developer of the Hidden Acres projecC installed Che Nadeau Road connection at his cost; the tax abatement proposed from the City's share of the Hidden Acres homes will pay for the additional right-of-way acquisition. EsCimated cost of that acquisition as well as potential acquisition along Condit Street is $65,000 for Che right-of-way and related expenses. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Montour, seconded by Keis, the public hearing was closed. Ms. Allan introduced fhe following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO.2005-II-272 -APPROVING PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE CITY ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACQUISITION OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF- WAY AS RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. CONSENT Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: AGENDA RESOLUTION NO. 2005-II-273 -REMOVING THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR RAMSEY COUNTY GIS USERS
