MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 25, 2008 <br />Waite stated that he did not want to flood anyone out. He suggested <br />another solution may be to cut off the pipe joining East and West Savage. <br />That would allow the level of West Savage to be raised. <br />Blesener felt increasing the lake level 1 '/z feet will put water in people's <br />back yards. An increase of 4 feet will put water in basements. <br />The City Administrator stated that he would put the Savage Lake action <br />plan together, outlining options as well as responsibilities. <br />COMPRE- The City Planner reported that he would have a large packet of <br />HENSIVE information to the Council in July relative to the Comprehensive Plan <br />PLAN update. That packet will contain better forecasting information on <br />UPDATE population and job estimates. <br />DESOTO The City Administrator reviewed the City Engineer's report relative <br />STREET to bid results for replacement of the Desoto Street retaining wall. <br />RETAINING Three bids were received with the low bid from Structures Hardscape <br />WALL Specialists in the amount of $16,661.00. The Administrator reported <br />REPLACEMENT that the replacement of the modular block retaining wall with a wet cast <br /> block wall is necessary to prevent the on-going vandalism problem with <br /> the present wall. <br />Montour suggested that Montreal Courts be asked to install a fence at the <br />top of this wall to prevent vehicles from driving over it. The <br />Administrator noted that curb stops are also needed in the Montreal Courts <br />parking lot. He indicated That he would make these requests. <br />Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-6-161-AWARDING THE LOW QUOTE <br />FROM STR UCTURES HARDSCAPE SPECIALISTS IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $16,661.00 FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE <br />MONTREAL COURTS RETAINING WALL AS RECOMMENDED BY <br />THE CITY ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
