MINUTES
PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION
August 6, 2015
ADJOURN
Games recently. Chevrolet also came out to a ball game for opportunities to
test drive one of their vehicles. 20 people were given the chance to test drive
a vehicle at the game and for each person that drove the vehicle 25 dollars
was donated to the City for youth activities.
Maida asked if any businesses had interest in advertising along the fences of
the ballfields. Morelan said that the LCRA has temporary signage they put
up for events, but no one had shown interest in advertising besides that.
Morelan explained that many of the plaques on park benches throughout the
City had been getting old and illegible. When the bench in Thunder Bay Park
was made Morelan replaced many of the other plaques as well. He believed
this would be a good way to keep the memories of those people alive.
Vang asked about the incident at Gervais Lake over this past weekend.
Morelan said all he knew was that the people involved were at the County
Beach.
Sullivan moved the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Darling
Motion carried 4 — 0.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:33 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Anna Leibel
Recording Secret
c)
y
5
