ZU U IUG 6., ASS00 TIS
Memo
TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council
FROM: Lee Elfering, City Engineer
DATE: July 30, 2016
RE: Little Canada Road Improvements Project
Supplemental Agreement #4
The signal improvements that were added into the project at the request of Ramsey
County resulted in additional requirements for pedestrian push button upgrades at the
interstate ramps and at Centerville Road. These improvements included modifications
to the pedestrian ramps and installation of stand alone pedestrian push button stations
which were not included in the original signal improvements. It was also discovered
after the final lift of bituminous was placed that four traffic loops were damaged during
the milling process near Centerville Road. These loops now require replacement and
will be sawcut and sealed into the pavement.
Supplemental Agreement #4 is attached to this memo, which outlines the work and costs
for the push button and traffic loop work. The City does not own any of the signal legs
that are being affected therefore all costs would be the responsibility of the County. We
would recommend the City Council authorize approval of Supplemental Agreement #4
contingent on County and MnDOT approval.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call me at (763) 780-0450
extension 3.
10062 Flanders Court NE -- Blaine, MN 55449 — Ph: (763) 780-0450 Fax (763) 780-0452
Z;\PRCJ\120166E - LC Road (Bridge to Edgerton)\0071\Change Crders\Memo•073016-CC (Supplemental Agreement #4),doc
