The Planner noted that the rezoning is
being sought due to the difficulty that Precision Tree has had in making
the conforming use of the parcel. Under the current I -P zoning, there are
significant restrictions related to outdoor storage. The Planner pointed out
that the surrounding area is zoned I -P District.
With regard to the property division, the Planner indicated that Precision
Tree would like to divide the property into two and construct a multi -
tenant building on the new lot. This will create a building with more street
frontage and the building will help screen the outdoor storage use from the
street.
