MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 12, 2015 <br />BEHLES The Parks & Recreation Director reported that Deb Behles, a former <br />DONATION Little Canada resident, has made a donation of $5,000 to the City to be <br />used for recreation registration fees for disadvantaged youth. Ms. Behles <br />is making this donation in honor of her late father, Dave Behles, you <br />coached youth athletics for the City and who believed that every child <br />should be able to participate in these programs, Mayor Keis thanked the <br />Behles Family for their generous donation. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-8-153 — ACCEPTING THE BEHLES <br />FAMILY DONATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 TO BE USED <br />FOR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR YOUTH RECREATION <br />REGISTRATIONS FOR DISADVANTAGED YOUTH <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Q3 DONATION Jay Osborne, President of Q3, appeared before the Council and presented <br />TO VETERANS the City with a $30,000 donation toward the Veterans Memorial project. <br />MEMORIAL Osborne stated that he felt the Veterans Memorial project was a very <br />honorable thing for the City to undertake, and that Q3 would like to help <br />fund the Freedom Wall that is a part of this project. Mayor Keis thanked <br />Osborne and Q3 for their generous donation. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-8-154 — ACCEPTING THE Q3DONATION <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,000 TO BE USED FOR THE VETERANS <br />MEMORIAL PROJECT FREEDOM WALL <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />DUPLEX The City Administrator reported that relative to the Roger Berres appeal <br />LAPSE OF of the lapse of duplex use for property located at 2955/2957 Arcade <br />USE APPEAL — Street, a 60 -day waiver has been obtained from Mr. Berres to continue <br />ROGER consideration of the appeal to the August 26, 2015 Council meeting. The <br />BERRES Administrator reported that the Housing Resource Center has been <br />retained to do an evaluation and draft a work scope for the rehabilitation <br />2 <br />
