MINUTES CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 12, 2015 CITY INTERN RECESS EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT ADJOURN Keis thanked Intern Anna Leibel for the work that she has done for the City this past summer updating some City ordinances as well as other tasks. Keis indicated that Leibel has done a wonderful job for the City. He wished her the best in her future endeavors. Leibel thanked the Council for the opportunity. At this point in the meeting, 8:08 p.m., the Council took a brief recess. The meeting was reconvened at 8:15 p.m. Boy Scout Cory Huot appeared before the Council and presented his Eagle Scout project which consists of the construction of a pergola over the picnic table in Veterans Memorial Park. Huot reported that he presented the project to the Parks & Recreation Commission who have recommended approval. Huot stated that he was requesting that the City help fund the project and requested a minimum of $500 in funding up to a maximum of $1,000. Huot reported that once the City approves the project and some level of funding, he will purchase the supplies and coordinate the help he needs to construct the pergola. He would plan to do the work in September or October. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2015-8-161— APPROVING THE HUOT EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT AS PRESENTED AND AUTHORIZING $500 IN CITY FUNDING FOR THIS PROJECT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. At this point in the meeting, the German Boy Scout Leaders presented Huot with a German Boy Scout neckerchief.
