R. Hanson <br />Little Canada Road was seal coated this year along with Market Place Drive. Both streets <br />had special pavement markings such as turn arrows and railroad crossing markings. In <br />addition, there have been numerous complaints regarding vehicles driving through the <br />four-way stop sign at Minnesota Street and Viking Drive without stopping. It is thought <br />that adding painted stop bars on the street may help motorists realize it is a stop condition <br />at the intersection. <br />Quotes were received from two companies for epoxy markings, which have a life of 7-10 <br />years. AAA Striping Service quoted $4845.00 for 21 arrows, five stop bars, and one <br />railroad crossing. Century Fence quoted $6790,00 for the same work. <br />Staff recommends approving the quote from AAA Striping Service for pavement <br />markings. The striping budget for 2015 is $12,000. The markings should fit in that <br />budget number along with the striping work done by Ramsey County. <br />
