Hanson <br />Pursuant to Council direction, staff distributed a property information packet to those people who <br />expressed interest in the former Public Works building located at 3100 Country Drive. Based on <br />this solicitation, three offers were received. Staff is proposing to present these offers at a closed <br />session to be convened at the end of our August 26th meeting at which time you can consider the <br />offers and provide direction for the preparation of a purchase agreement. <br />We can close the meeting to consider offers for the sale of real property pursuant to Minnesota <br />Statutes 13D.05; Subdivision 3,c (3). Before closing the Meeting, the council must state on the <br />record the specific grounds for closing the meeting, describe the subject to be discussed, and <br />identify the particular property that is the subject of the meeting. The meeting must be tape- <br />recorded and the property must be identified on the recording. The recording must be preserved for <br />eight years, and must be made available to the public after all property discussed at the <br />meeting has been purchased or sold or after the public body has abandoned the purchase or sale. <br />A list of councilmrnbers and all other persons present at the closed meeting must be made available <br />to the public after the closed meeting. The actual purchase or sale of the property must be approved <br />at an open meeting, and the purchase or sale price is public data. <br />The offers are considered confidential data at this point and 1 will distribute them to you under <br />separate cover, To maintain the integrity of the process, this information should not be disclosed <br />to others until a transaction is consummated. <br />
