Fahey felt the layout submitted by <br />Mendota Homes was more reflective of a mini-mall rather than the <br />direction that the City is trying to go for the redevelopment area. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2004-7-79 -CONTINUING THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING ON THE PRELIMINARY & FINAL PI AT, <br />DEVELOPMENT STAGE AND FINAL STAGE PUD, AND <br />ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW FOR LITTLE CANADA OFFICE <br />CONDOMINIUMS, MENDOTA HOMES, PENDING A <br />RECOMMENDATION FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Montour, Anderson, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Blesener noted that parking at the recently developed townofl~ice parks in <br />the City is very tight, and there is the need to revisit parking requirements <br />for these projects. Fahey indicated that he is troubled with the proposal <br />that the basement space fa- the Little Canada Office Condominiums will <br />be restricted to storage space, therefore, is not counted when calculating <br />required parking. Fahey felt that this will eventually become an <br />enforcement issue for the City. Fahey suggested that the Little Canada <br />Office Condominium project may be too dense. He expressed concern <br />that given the project is in a retail area, office space could be converted to <br />retail space, thus requiring more parking. Fahey agreed that parking <br />requirements for townoffice developments must be reviewed. <br />VACATION Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider the vacation of the <br />OF PORTION easterly l0 feet of Boss Road. Fahey noted that he will be abstaining from <br />OF BOSS the discussion and the vote on this matter. <br />ROAD <br />Mr. Dick Boss appeared before the Council requesting the vacation of the <br />east 10 feet of Boss Road. He noted that there is currently 60 feet of right- <br />of-way for Boss Road and current City standards require 50 feet of right- <br />of=way for residential roads. <br />There was no one else present fl~om the general public wishing to <br />comment on this matter. <br />
