The project costs above total $65,780.00. With the approval of the city paying for the sidewalk <br />installation, the committee costs would be $45,732. To date, the committee has raised roughly <br />$43,000. It should be noted that additional costs will be incurred to complete the project. Staff <br />is estimate the total cost with sidewalk work to be between $90,000 and $100,000 versus the <br />earlier estimate of $61,000. <br />City staff recommends the City Council award the above bids totaling $65,780.00 with <br />authorization of city funds to be used for sidewalk installation up to $20,048.00. <br />Also, you may remember that several months ago the bronze plaque was stolen from the <br />memorial stone. Advantage Signs who made the original plaque has generously agreed to split <br />the cost of replacement for a new one. Additionally, Rocky Waite is working with someone for <br />installation of this plaque that will ensure it is securly mounted.
