EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered this 14th day of October, 2015, by and between <br />the City of Little Canada, a Municipal Corporation under the laws of the State of Minnesota, <br />hereinafter referred to as "City", and Heidi L. Heller, hereinafter referred to as "Heller". <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, City has offered the position of City Clerk to Heller and she has accepted same; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Heller is being designated an exempt employee by City; and <br />WHEREAS, Heller agrees to enter this agreement with City as a condition of exempt status <br />and pursuant to the terms and conditions of employment contained herein, <br />IT IS HEREBY AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. POSITION. City agrees to employ I -feller as its City Clerk commencing November 2, 2015. <br />Heller agrees to serve as the City Clerk for City, will devote her full business time and best <br />efforts to the City, and will engage in no outside business without the prior approval of City. <br />Heller agrees to perform the duties of City Clerk as they have been explained to her and as <br />they may be changed from time to time. Additionally, Heller shall be required to perform <br />such other duties as may be directed from time to time. <br />2. SALARY. City agrees to pay Heller a starting salary of $66,560 per year starting her first <br />day of employment and continuing for six months. Subject to satisfactory performance, <br />Heller's salary shall be increased to $67,600 on May 2, 2016. On January 1, 2017 and <br />subject to satisfactory performance, Heller's salary shall be set at Step 2 of the City Clerk's <br />Wage Scale, currently $68,869 plus any cost of living adjustments made to the scale by <br />January 1, 2017. For future years, the City Clerk's salary scale will be adjusted at <br />
