MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 28, 2015
RENTAL
AGREEMENT
FOR FORMER
PUBLIC WORKS
BUILDING
with a deer hunt this year given that it appears that the deer population in
Little Canada is at a reasonable level. The Administrator stated that given
the unusual circumstances in the area of Frattalone Companies, however,
staff would recommend approval of the bow hunting permit. The
Administrator noted that any hunters would have to be qualified and
authorized by the City.
The Council discussed the number of deer to be taken, and the consensus
was to allow two.
Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2015-10-211 — APPROVING THE REQUEST
FOR BOW HUNTING PERMITS FOR FRATTALONE COMPANIES
PROPERTY FOR THE TAKING OF UP TO TWO DEER THROUGH
DECEMBER 31, 2015 SUBJECT TO QUALIFICATION OF BOW
HUNTERS BY CITY STAFF
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
The City Administrator presented the Council with a draft lease agreement
for the rental of the former Public Works Garage at 3100 Country Drive
by Jim Schwalbach, North Heights Hardware. The Administrator pointed
out that Mr. Schwalbach is purchasing this property from the City, but the
closing will not occur until November or early December. The
Administrator pointed out that the ability to use the building now allows
Mr. Schwalbach to avoid having to lease storage space in another location.
The Administrator reviewed the terms of the lease agreement which calls
for rent of $2,500 per month plus a damage deposit of $2,500. The
agreement states that as long as the transaction closes, any amounts
received will be applied to the sale price.
Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2015-10-212 — APPROVING THE LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH JIM SCHWALBACH FOR 3100 COUNTRY
DRIVE AS PRESENTED AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY
11
