City of Little Canada, Minnesota <br />Ordinance <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 903.020 OF THE LITTLE CANADA CITY <br />CODE, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY PROVIDING FOR REGULATIONS <br />RELATING TO THE SIZE OF ACCESSORY BUILDINGS. <br />The City Council of the City of Little Canada hereby ordains: <br />Section 1. <br />Section 903.020.D.4. is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />4. No accessory building or detached garage for a single family dwelling shall <br />occupy more than twenty-five (25) percent of the area of the rear yard. <br />The total floor area of a garage and other accessory buildings includin<= <br />sheds and recreational accessory buildings) for a single family detached <br />dwelling shall not exceed one thousand (1,000) square feet of floor area <br />per lot, except by conditional use permit pursuant to Section 92'1 of this <br />Ordinance. In no instance shall the total floor area of a garage and an <br />accessory building for a single family dwelling exceed one thousand five <br />hundred (1,500) square feet. No Conditional Use Permit shall be issued <br />for detached accessoryv building, or ,arage area of more than one thousand <br />1 000 scare feet in which the accessory building or garage exceeds ten <br />10 percent of the rear yard. <br />Section 2. <br />Section 903.020. D. 5. b. is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />b. Conditional Use Permit. 13eyond the limitations of Sections <br />903.020.D.4. and 903.020.D.5., the construction of an additional <br />garage structure, an additional accessory building, or an additional <br />accessory shed shall require the processing of a Conditional Use <br />Permit subject to the provisions of Section 927 of the Zoning <br />Ordinance. When a Conditional Use Permit is issued to exceed <br />one thousand (1,000) square feet of =ar~ge and accessor buildin <br />area, the parcel shall not be eli~aible for a detached shed as <br />otherwise permitted by Section 903.020.D.S.a.iii. Any existing <br />such sheds must be removed as a condition of the Conditional Use <br />Permit. <br />Section 3. <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and <br />after its passage and publication. <br />
