MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 14, 2004 <br />PRECISION The Code Enforcement Officer reviewed the status of the Precision Tree <br />TREE property noting the installation of an alternative heat source without <br />proper permits, installation of fuel tanks, while permitted, are not reflected <br />on the site plan, as well as outdoor storage issues. The Code Enforcement <br />Officer reported that the owners of Precision Tree have been informed that <br />they will need to amend the Conditional Use Permit for the property to <br />address these compliance issues. It is hoped that the CUP amendment will <br />be processed during the February meeting cycle. <br />BUETOW The Code Enforcement Officer repotted that the Buetow stucco business <br />PROPERTY will be moving to Columbus Township. Therefore, the future status of <br />this property is unknown at this time. However, the Buetow's have been <br />informed of the need to process a fill permit for the filling that has already <br />occun'ed on their site. <br />COSSACK The Code Enforcement Officer reported that staffis continuing its efforts <br />AND to resolve issues related to the Cossack and Valor Enterprises properties. <br />VALOR <br />PROPERTIES <br />BENCHMARK The Council discussed the retail auto sales licensing issue related to <br />AUTO Benchmark Auto. It was the consensus of the Council that Benchmark <br />Auto should be issued a retail auto sales license. White this will exceed <br />the ordinance limitation for number of retail licenses, this limitation will <br />be reimposed at the time one of the retail licenses is not renewed. <br />The Code Enforcement Officer reviewed the outdoor storage issue related <br />to the Benchmark Auto site and the fact that the Council had placed a <br />sunset of December, 2000 for the outdoor storage use on this site. It was <br />the consensus of the Council that they did not support the continued <br />outdoor storage use on this site, and instructed staff to proceed with <br />enforcement action. <br />WINNER The Code Enforcement Officer reported that some progress has been made <br />PROPERTY in cleaning up the Wiener property; however, there is still a long way to <br />go. Efforts will continue to be directed toward the cleanup of this <br />property. <br />RUTH Blesener agreed that the City and the Sheriff's Department should conduct <br />STREET a 12uth Street neighborhood meeting to discuss crime activity in this area. <br />
