MINUTES <br />CITY COIINCIL <br />JANUARY 28, 2004 <br />eliminate the need for wells in the Hamel Court Addition as well as <br />eliminate a pond since drainage would be directed toward the freeway <br />drainage system. <br />Fahey pointed out that getting water main into this area will make the <br />City-owned parcel developable. <br />Blesener felt that if the property owners really prefer Little Canada water, <br />then the water main should be extended as part of Unweave the Weave. <br />The Administrator indicated that this could be done. There would be <br />some costs for duplication of lines. The concern was meeting the benefits <br />received test on the additional cost of bringing Little Canada water to the <br />area. <br />The City Administrator reviewed the City Engineer's feasibility reports <br />for the Twin Lalce area improvements as well as the Middle Street <br />improvements. There are still a couple of issues to be worked out, one of <br />which relates to angle parking along Middle Street. The Administrator <br />also recommended that the Council adjust the City's assessment caps for <br />water main and street improvements as out]ined in the feasibility report. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RF.SOI,UTION NO. 2004-1-23 -CALLING FOR IMPROVEMENTS <br />HEARINGS FOR TILE MIDDLE STREET IMPROVEMENT AND <br />THE TWIN I AKE AREA IMPROVEMENT FOR MONDAY, <br />FEBRUARY 23, 2004 AT 6:30 P. M. AND G: 45 P.M., RESPECTIVELY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Anderson, Blesener, Montour. <br />Nays (0). Kesolution declared adopted. <br />STATE The Council reviewed the Building Official's recommendation for <br />BUILDING adoption of the 2003 State Building Code and the 2003 State Fire Code. <br />CODE AND The Council discussed this recommendation and supported the self- <br />STATE TIRE perpetuating option which ensures that the City is always operating with <br />CODE the most current version of the codes. The consensus was for the City <br /> Attorney to prepare the appropriate ordinance revisions for Council <br /> approval at its next meeting. The Council also discussed updating the <br /> related fee schedules, and the City Administrator indicated that a <br /> recommendation will be brought back to the Council along with the <br /> proposed ordinance revision. <br />10 <br />
