Resolution declared adopted.
FRATTALONE The Council reviewed the City Administrator's report dated February
PROPERTY 6, 2004 relative to the potential acquisition of the Frattalone property.
Fahey noted that unless there is a reduction in the asking price for the
property, it does not appear that the City's potential use of the property is
feasible. Fahey also stated that, in his opinion, this site was not a good
location for a school facility given that the property is located in an
industrial park. Fahey felt that a use similar to the em~rent use was what
worked for this location. Fahey also pointed out that the City has not yet
resolved the issue of the future of its water system, and felt there had to be
resolution of that issue before a decision can be made on how to proceed
with the Public Worl<s garage. Fahey noted that if St. Paul takes over the
City's water system, the Frattalone garage may be too big for the City's
Public Works Department.
The City Administrator noted that the current Public Works garage could
not be added onto without a variance. He also informed the Council that
City staff is again beginning work on the issue of the City's water system,
noting that the City of Roseville contract with St. Paul Water is up for
renewal in April.
