MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 11, 2004 <br />The Code Enforcement Officer reported that since the last update <br />workshop, the City has received only one complaint related to the Ruth <br />Street four lexes. The Officer indicated that City staff will be having a <br />neighborhood meeting with these residents and property owners and will <br />involve the Ramsey County Crime Prevention unit in that meeting. <br />The Officer reported that as part of the junk car sweep, 82 letters were sent <br />to property owners relative to violations. The letter provided a May 15'x' <br />deadline to bring violations into conformance. The Officer reported that <br />she received a few responses back thus far. <br />The Council reviewed the code enforcement-reporting format and found it <br />to be acceptable. The Code Enforcement Officer indicated that ongoing <br />enforcement items would be included on the report and would be removed <br />as they ~u~e resolved. This report will be provided to the Counci] on a <br />monthly basis. <br />The Officer reported that she is working with Ruff Cuts for completion of <br />their landscaping. The City is holding a landscape bond to ensure <br />compliance. <br />Montour asked the status of the Jim Cossack property. The City <br />Administrator reported that he issue of timing for completion of the <br />building project is in discussion. The City has offered a time frame of 4 <br />months for completion, and Mr. Cossack is asking for 8 months. <br />The City Administrator commended the Code Enforcement Officer for the <br />progress she is making on long-standing, tough code items. <br />CITY PINS It was the consensus of the Council to reorder City pins similar to the <br />current pin, however, with a flat face. <br />There being no further business, the workshop was adjourned at 8:00 p.m. <br />GVi~zrt __ <br />Mich el I.
