MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MAY 26, 2004 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. AMENDMENT Fahey opened the public hearing to consider an Amendment to the TO ZONING Zoning Code relative to lot standards for two-family homes in the CODE - Residential-Business (RB) Zoning District. The Planning LOT Commission has recommended approval of the amendment. STANDARDS IN RB DISTRICT The City Planner indicated that in reviewing the standards in the R-2 District and the R-B District, it was noted that there is a discrepancy in the lot size standards for two-family dwellings. This amendment would establish a consistent standard of 15,000 square feet for two-family dwellings. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Blesener, seconded by Fahey, the public hearing was closed. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESO7 DTION NO. 2004-5-I70 - ADOPTING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 909.050 OF THE LITTLE CANADA CITY CODE, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, 73Y PROVIDING FOR THE MINIMUM I_OT SIZE FOR TWO FAMII Y STRUCTURES IN THE R-2, MF.DIIIM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Fahey, Montour, Anderson. AMENDMENT Fahey opened the public hearing to consider an Amendment to the TO ZONING Zoning Code relative to the designation of Savage Lake in the CODE - Shoreland District. SAVAGE LAKE DESIGNATION The City Planner requested that action on this matter be tabled as he is doing additional research with the Watershed and the DNR. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Blesener, the public hearing was closed. 19
