MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 2G, 2004 <br />option, tax abatement was evaluated. The Administrator pointed out that <br />utilizing tax abatement involves the capturing of the City's share of <br />additional taxes that will result from this project over the next 15 years <br />and allocating those dollars to offset costs for the Nadeau Road <br />connection. The Administrator indicated That in doing the analysis, it <br />appea~'s that the numbers will work based on his estimates. However, one <br />of the first steps would be to have an appraisal done of the Miller property. <br />Fahey noted that the City will have more information on these issues as <br />the development moves forward to final plat. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-5-I00 -APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY <br />PLAT FOR HIDDEN ACRES OPTION 2 WHICH INCL UDES THE <br />ROAD CONNECTION TO CONDIT STREET U'I'H.I17NG THE <br />EXISTING NADEAU ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAYAS WELL Ab' <br />AC~UI,SITION OF IG FEET OFADDITIONAI. RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />FOR NADEAU ROAD FROM THE MILLER PROPERTYAND 20 <br />FEET FROM THE DEVELOPER, NOTING THAT TILE TOTAL. <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY WIDTHAD.IACENT TO THE MILLER PROPERTY <br />WOUI D BE 46 FEET BASED ON THE COUNCIL'S CONSENSUS' <br />TOAVOID ANON-CONFORMING FRONT YARD SETBACK FOR <br />THE MILLER HOUSE, SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WLTH THE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION, CITY <br />PLANNER INCLUDING THE RECOMMENDATION THAT <br />APPROVAL OF OPTION 2 IS PREDICATED ON THE CONTINUED <br />FINANCIAL VIABILITY OF THIS` OPTION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Fahey, Montour, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI_ UTION NO. 20(14-5-101 - ORDERING AN APPRAISAL OF <br />THE MILLER PROPERTY AS RELATES TOT ]]E ACS UISITION <br />OF I6 FEE'L` OF RIGHT =OF-WAY FOR NADEAU ROAD AND l7 <br />FEET OF ItIGIIT--OF-WAY FOR CONDIT STREET <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0).
