MINUTrS <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 11, 2004 <br />ADELMANN approval subject to compliance with the recommendations of the City <br />I?lanner and subject to the addition of landscaping on the garage to provide <br />some screening to the adjacent property. <br />Montour noted that there is an 8-foot by 10 foot shed on the property, and <br />asked Adelmann's plans for that shed. IVIr. Adelmaun indicated that it <br />would be his intention to keep the shed, and it was his understanding that <br />the code allowed for a small shed on a property. Adehnann pointed out <br />that he has had the shed since 1996 and does not consider it to be an <br />eyesore. He explained the location of the shed. <br />Blesener asked if Adehnann was planning any tree removal in order to <br />place the garage on the property. Adehnann indicated that he has three <br />large trees near the area where the garage would be placed. Adehnann <br />indicated that one tree is dead. He also repotted that he would not be <br />removing either of the two live trees. He shed will be approxinately 12 <br />feet fron these trees. <br />There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on <br />this natter. <br />Upon motion by Pahey, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Adehnann asked what type of screening would be required on the side of <br />the garage facing his neighbor. Fahey indicated that City staf~r would <br />work with Adelmaun to develop an appropriate screening plan. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI. RECOMMENDATIONS <br />OF THE CITY PLANNER AND THE PLANNING COMMLSSION <br />WHICH INCL LIDE SOME SCREENING FROM ,THE ADJACENT <br />PROPER%'Y, WITH THE SCREENING PI AN TU 73E SC713JECT TO <br />REVIEW AND API'ROVAI, OF CIT l' STAFF <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seca~ded by Anderson. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Anderson, )whey, Montour. <br />Nays (0).
