MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
AUGUST 25, 2004
However, the Watershed did issue its permit the very next day. Therefore,
the Watershed could have still denied the permit if they truly were
concerned.
Fahey noted that the Watershed has approved the pond in its present
location. The City Administrator indicated that the Watershed has
approved the grading and drainage plan for the project. The City Engineer
has also reviewed that plan.
Walstead questioned why work on pond began two to three weeks prior to
Watershed approval. The City Administrator replied that that was not
correct. Work on the pond began only a few days prior to the Watershed
issuing its permit, Walstead indicated that trees were cut two to three
weeks prior to Watershed approval. The City Administrator indicated that
Watershed approval is not required prior to the cutting of trees.
Fahey noted that the Watershed has approved the plan and has issued its
permit. Fahey stated that he understands that Walstead is not happy with
the process. Fahey asked if there were any other concerns that Walstead
wished to raise.
Walstead indicated that at the time of his meeting with the Watershed,
they had approved 4 to 5 items that were part of the permit, but were
waiting for calculations on saturation issues. Fahey noted that those
calculations were received, and the Watershed then issued the permit.
Walstead replied that that was correct.
Fahey suggested if any additional issues arise, that Walstead discuss those
with the City Engineer and City Administrator who would respond in an
appropriate fashion.
Trude indicated that the Walstead's only want to know what is happening
behind their home.
A~DJOiJRN L,aValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RE.SO7.
