MINUTES
C1TX COUNCIL
OCTOBUR 13, 2004
last discussed. Groholski pointed out that only one of those property
owners spoke against the woodburner. She indicated that she talked to
one property owner that is actually closer to the Precision Tree property
who indicated that it was not a problem.
Fahey noted that Precision Tree has a ready source of fuel for the
woodburning stove, and suggested that, if possible, the City work with
Precision Tree on this issue. LaValle pointed out that the stove itself is
one part of the issue. There is also the outdoor storage issue relative to the
storage o{'wood for the stove.
Bruhn indicated that there is no problem getting the stove to meet PCA
standards so that a building permit could be obtained for it.
The City Administrator noted that precision Tree is at the maximum for
tiie outdoor storage they are allowed. The wood being stored adjacent to
the woodbw~ner is in addition to the allowed outdoor storage.
Fahey suggested that a solution to that would be to reduce the outdoor
storage area by the amount of outdoor storage needed for the wood pile.
The result would be that the total of the two outdoor storage areas would
equal the maximum outdoor storage that :Precision "free is allowed. Fahey
stated that he was willing to look at this option, but pointed out that the
issue for the Council is the lack of progress being made to get the property
into compliance. Fahey agreed with Blesener's suggestion that Precision
Tree sit down with stafil'and go over the outstanding issues. Precision
Tree should then either resolve the issues or come up with a plan and
timeline for resolution. The matter would be brought back to the Council
at its second meeting in November for review. Fahey pointed out that for
Precision Tree to do nothing will result in revocation of the CUP and the
issuance of citations.
The City Administrator stated that City staff will meet with Precision Tree
as indicated by the Council.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
REb'07 UTION NO. 2004-70-2A4 - TABI LNG ACTION ON THE
PREC7b70N TREE CODE ENFORCEMF.N77SSUES UN1'II. THE
NOVEMBER 24, 2004 COUNCIL MEETING IN ORDER TO GIVE
CITI' STAFF AN OPPORTUN7T I' TO MEET WITH PRECIb"ION
TRF,F_,12EVIEW OUTSTANDING, CODE ENFORCEMENT ISSUES,
ANY WORK WITH THEM TO DEVE]_OF A Pl AN AND TIMETA137.E
FOR RES07 VING THOSE ISSUES
6
