MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 10, 2004
The Deputy Clerk. suggested that the previous Public Works
Superintendent be contacted relative to his knowledge of abandonment of
the storage use subsequent to 1964-
The City Administrator reported that Xcel Energy is willing to seek a
Conditional Use Permit for the tree trimming equipment, and are willing
to comply with conditions that the City might set relative to screening.
This City would first, however, have to amend the ordinance to allow for
this type of outdoor storage in the B-3 District. The Administrator
indicated that to litigate the issue may result in Xcel being able to park
their equipment at the substation with no screening. Therefore, working
out a reasonable solution that includes such items as screening, fencing,
surfacing of parking Iot, limitation on number of vehicles may provide the
best solution to this situation. Council agreed.
CABLE The City Administrator explained the cable production issues relative to
PI,2O,DiJCTION limiting the use of a portable microphone during Council meetings.
