MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 24, 2004 <br />LICENSES - Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />TIERNEY'S <br />LIQUORS RESOI, UTION NO. 2004-II-288 -TRANSFERRING OFF-SAI E <br />LIQUOR AND TOI3ACC0 LICENSES FOR TIERNEY'S LIQUOILS <br />TO MR. CIIOU VANC, PENDING RECEIPT OF SATLSFACTORY <br />SHERIFF'S DF_PARTMENT 13AC'KGROUND CHECKS' <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Fahey, Montour, Allan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />REDEVE- It was noted that Mr. George Sherman is present this evening to give <br />LOPMENT a redevelopment update for the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area. <br />UPDATE - I3e will also be requesting some modif cations to the TIP documents <br />SHERMAN associated with his projects. These modifications will require action <br />ASSOCIATES by the Bcouomic Development Authority. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL U77ON NO. 2009-77-289 - TEMPORARIL Y ADJOURNING <br />I'HE CITY COUNC'77_ MEETING AND CON(/ENING AS THE <br />ECONOMIC DE vELOPMENT A UT HORIT 1' <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5) Pahey, Montour, Allan, Blesener, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. George Sherman, Sherman Associates, appeared before the EDA and <br />reported on the status of The Lodge. Sherman reported that The Lodge <br />consists of 79 housing rental units. 53 of those units are rented, and <br />rentals are proceeding at 4 to 5 per mouth. The leasing of the retail space <br />is going slower. Leases have recently been signed with an Italian <br />restaurant and a coffee shop. This will bring the leased space up to about <br />50% of the available retail space. <br />Sherman reported that the Yownhome development, The Villas, have 20 <br />units completed or under construction. 14 of these units have been sold. <br />The property that was purchased behind the Ultimate Golf building has <br />been cleaned up and the maintenance shed removed. Sherman indicated <br />that he would hope to expand the townhome development into the Winter <br />property, if they are interested in selling, in a 7 to 1 '/z years. <br />Sherman indicated that for The Village, the office commercial <br />development planned for the north side of Little Canada Road, the first <br />office building was to have been under construction on September 1". <br />10 <br />
