MINUTES OT THE WORKSHOP MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA JANUARY 8, 2003 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 8th day of January, 2003 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Mayor Michael I. Fahey ca]led the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the following members of the City Council were present at roll call: CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle Council Member Mr. Matt Anderson Council Member Mr. Bill Blesener Council Member Mr. Rick Montour ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson Public Works Dir. Mr. Greg Schroeder Parks & Rec Dir. Mr. Jim Morelan Cable TV Producer Mr. Jeremy Brodin Deputy Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer COMMUNITY The purpose of this evening's workshop is to discuss and identify ways IDENTITY to promote and enhance Little Canada's identity. The City Administrator reviewed his memo dated January 3, 2003 outlining the efforts currently made by the City as well as efforts being made by other cities. The Council began by reviewing the "Welcome" packet that is distributed to new residential property owners in the City. The City Administrator indicated that the packet contains a lot of good information. He noted that while ahigher-quality format could be used, the current format allows for information to be updated very easily. Council felt that the information contained in the packet was more important than the format, but agreed with the suggestion of the .Parks & Recreation Director that a higher quality folder, pre-printed with the City's logo on the front cover, should be used. Other suggestions for improving the "Welcome" packet are as follows: Web address on the front cover; Administrative Assistant's suggestions outlined in her January T~' memo; Distribute packets to multi-family rental offices;
