MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 8, 2003 <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI UTION NO. 2003-I-9 -DENYING THE WATERSHED'S <br />REQUEST FOR FUNDING FOR 2003 WATERFE.ST DUE TO <br />73UDGET CONSTRAINTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, Anderson, Montour, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COUNCIL Mayor Fahey asked for Council's reconsideration of the policy adopted <br />WORKSHOP a few months ago relative to the televising of Council workshop meetings. <br />MEETINGS He reviewed the City Administrator's report relative to this issue noting <br />the pros and cons of televising workshop meetings. It was also noted that <br />the Council began televising workshop meetings given the fact that the <br />Deputy Clerk was not available this past fall to attend these workshops, <br />therefore, the workshops were televised for recording purposes. It was <br />further noted that the City has had along-standing policy of televising all <br />budget workshops, and the Council agreed that this policy should remain <br />in effect. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2003-I-T U -REINSTATING THE PREVIOUS` <br />CITY POLICY OF TELEVISING ONI. Y CITY E UDGET <br />WORKSHOPS NOTING THAT THE POLICY OF TELEVISING ALI. <br />WORKSHOPS WAS` A TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION RELATED <br />TO THE RECORDING OF THESE WORKSHOPS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) Fahey, Blesener, Anderson, LaValle. <br />Nays (1) Montour. Resolution declared adopted. <br />PLANNING The City Administrator reported that lie and the Planning Commission <br />COMMISSION Chair interviewed the two applicants for the vacancy on the Commission. <br />APPOINTMENT The Administrator reported that either applicant would be an asset to the <br />Commission. <br />
