MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JANUARY 21, 2003 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 21 st day of <br />January, 2003 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Mayor Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider the improvement <br />2001-18 of Market Place Drive by road reconstruction and concrete curb and <br />MARKET gutter. <br />PLACE <br />DRIVE The City Engineer reviewed the details of the improvement project noting <br />that the estimated cost of the project is $1,310,000. Of that amount and <br />applying the provisions of the City's assessment policy, $3 ].6,798.40 is <br />proposed to be assessed. The assessment rate is proposed at the <br />commercial rate of $95 per fi~onY foot. <br />The Engineer noted that this improvement had been ordered <br />approximately one year ago. However, only one bid was received for the <br />improvement, and that bid exceeded the Engineer's estimate significantly. <br />Therefore, the project was delayed. It is hoped that rebidding the project <br />on an earlier timefi~ame will result in a more favorable bid result. <br />There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on <br />this improvement. <br />
