MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JANUARY 22, 2003
Fahey noted that it is his understanding that none of the property owners
in this area are eager to develop their properties. Therefore, the City has
some time to study both the grade and wetland issues.
It was the consensus of the Council that once information is available from
the City Engineer and the Watershed, the Council would review that
information and decide the next course of action.
The Council next looked at the potential for extension of Leeward Way. It
was the consensus of the Council that there were no landlocking issues to
address. This property would develop at the time that the two property
owners controlling the land were ready to develop.
Council reviewed the property in the area of South Owasso and Woodlyn
Avenue, adjacent to the Soo Line tracks. It was the consensus of the
Council that there were no landlocking issues to be addressed, and that
this property would likely some day redevelop.
Council reviewed the Heinel property, and the consensus was that there
were no landlocking issues to address. The Heinel's currently farm the
property, and the area would develop at the time these property owners are
interested in pursuing that option.
Council reviewed the Burk Lane/Yorkton Ridge/Condit area and agreed
there were no landlocking issues to address. The area would develop at
the time the property owners were interested in doing so.
The Council reviewed the Maple Lane area and the potential for a road
connection to the Yorkton Industrial Park. While the right-of--way exists
for this connection, it was the consensus of the Council that it was not
necessaJy to improve that access at this time.
There being no further business, the workshop meeting was adjourned at
7:15 p.m.
Mich el L ey, Mayor
1
Attes~~
Toe Hanson, City Administrator
