MINUTES Or THE WORKSIIOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MARCH 12, 2003 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 12th day of <br />March, 2003 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Hanson <br />Mr. Lee T;lfering <br />Mr. Greg Schroeder <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />M .Barbara Allan <br />MARKET The City Administrator noted that the City is currently bidding the <br />PLACE reconstruction of Market Place Drive. In addition to the improvement <br />5TREETSCAPE and relocation of the street, the Council must consider the type of <br />AMENITIES streetscape improvements that will be made along Market Place Drive. <br />The Administrator indicated that the fist item for consideration is that of <br />sidewalk improvements. He described the proposed sidewalk locations as <br />well as the fact that the transit lmb will be relocated and the proposal for <br />sidewalk access to that hub. Council must decide if sidewalks will be <br />constructed of poured concrete, stamped concrete, or paver bricks. <br />The second issLie is that of lighting. The Administrator noted that Little <br />Canada Road is extremely well lit. One option would be to remove <br />existing streetlights on the south side of Little Canada Road and reuse <br />those lights along Market Place Drive. The Administrator noted that <br />there will be lighting on the senior building on the corner of Rice and <br />Little Canada Road that will mitigate the loss of streetlights on the south <br />side of the street. <br />
