MINUTES CITY COUNCIL. MARCH 12, 2003 building without the raceway. Montour felt this was preferable from an aesthetic standpoint. The City Administrator indicated that the architectural guidelines are silent on this issue, therefore, have not precluded raceways. He noted that the letters are still individually lit; it is the mounting system that is different. The Administrator pointed out that under the PUD Permit; however, the Council has the ability to place whatever restrictions it Peels appropriate. Council agreed that for future signs at the shopping center, no raceways would be allowed. The Council did not feel that existing signage should have to be replaced. Brent I{abanuk, representing the taekwondo business, informed the Council that they would like to install a 6-foot by 3-foot logo sign that would be backlit. They do not plan to install any lettered signage. The Administrator pointed out that there are other backlit logo signs on the shopping center that have been allowed in the past. The Council was agreeable to the logo sign as proposed. Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2003-3-54-APPROVING A PUD PERMIT FOR A COMPREHENSIVE .SIGN PLAN FOR TIIE MARKET PLACE SHOPPING CENTER SUB.TECT TO TIIE RECOMMENDATIONS OF TIIE CITYADMINISTRATOR AND TIIE CITY PLANNER, SUB.IECT TO TIIE PROHIBITION OF RACEWAY MOUNTING OF ANY FUTURE SIGNS AT "I'HE SHOPPING CENTER, AND ALLOWING TIIE INSTALLATION OF A 3 FOOT BY 6 FOOT BACKLIT LOGO SIGN F'OR TIIE TAEKWONDO BUSINESS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
