TO CONSIDER <br />T/IF ES'TABL/Sl/MfiNT OF A T/F U/.S~T121C%'ON THE FORMER <br />KNOA PROPERTY <br />"I`he foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Qlesener, Montour, Anderson, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />VOLUNTARY The City Administrator recommended that City employees be offered <br />LEAVE OP' the option of taldng up to five days of voluntary leave during each of <br />ABST;NCIJ budget years 2003 and 2004 as a part of on-going efforts to reduce costs. <br />The Adminishator noted that leaves would require approval of both the <br />appropriate department head and City Administrator and would be worked <br />into schedules to minimize disruption to service levels. The Administrator <br />also recommended that benefits would continue to accrue during this <br />leave. The program would be offered on a strictly voluntary basis. <br />LaValle felt the proposal was a good one, and suggested that employees <br />be allowed to take up to five days or more in a minimum of half-day <br />increments. [3lesener stated that he would support the program as long as <br />it was understood that it was strictly voluntary. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003-5-120 -APPROV/NG T/fE VO/_UNTARY <br />LE-AVE OF ABSENCE PROGRAM AS RECOMMENDED BY THE <br />C/%'Y ADM/N/,STRATOR <br />"fhe foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Montour, Fahey, Anderson, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />
