Therefore, until that zoning action is considered by the <br />Commission and adopted by the City Council, there are no properly zoned <br />areas in the City that allow massage therapy as a principal use. <br />Blesener withdrew his motion and Anderson withdrew his second. <br />Fahey again pointed out the precedent that would be set if the Council <br />waived educational requirements established under the ordinance for <br />massage therapy licensing. Such an action would result in the City <br />providing very preferential treatment for one individual. Blesener agreed <br />that the precedent issue was troublesome. Fahey suggested that McCann <br />contact the school he attended and work on gaining his <br />diploma/certificate. <br />BUSINESS The City Administrator recommended that a public hearing be called for <br />ASSISTANCE 1'riday, June 2T~', to consider the adoption of a Business Assistance <br />I'.ROGRAM Program in relation to subsidies to commercial properties for job creation <br />and minimum wage rates in conjunction with the Sherman Associates <br />project at the northeast corner of Rice Street and Little Canada Road. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE'SOI,UTION NO. 2003-6-132 -CAI,/ /NG FOR A PUI37.IC <br />HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCLI.
